Job Description
Energy & Design Support
Ensure energy-efficient building design (HVAC, lighting, building envelope)
Partner with architects/engineers from design through construction
Build energy models and support LEED certification
Audits & Optimization
Conduct energy and water audits (at least 10% of facilities yearly)
Identify cost-saving and efficiency improvements
Recommend advanced systems (e.g., solar, controls, ventilation)
Program & Project Management
Lead energy projects through programs like:
ECIP, FEMP, MILCON
ESPC & UESC contracts
Develop project documentation (DD Form 1391), cost estimates, and life-cycle analyses
Evaluate alternative energy solutions and financing options
Utility & Reporting
Track and report energy usage, costs, and performance metrics
Validate monthly utility rates and invoices
Submit reports to DoD systems and leadership (monthly/quarterly)
Stakeholder Coordination
Serve as the main energy point of contact for the base
Lead quarterly energy steering group meetings
Support briefings, site visits, and stakeholder coordination

Required Skills & Experience
- 10 years of energy management experience
- Certified by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)
- Ability to work on site
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Prior Air Force Civil Engineering Squadron experience preferred
