Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Cost & Financial Support:
• Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets and cost reports
• Help prepare quantity takeoffs and support internal estimating efforts
• Review subcontractor proposals and contribute to scope leveling and bid comparisons
• Track project costs and assist with forecasting and margin analysis
• Prepare and evaluate change orders and pricing impacts
Project Coordination:
• Compile and submit monthly owner pay applications
• Support communication between field teams, subcontractors, and design partners
• Help interpret drawings, specifications, and RFIs to ensure accurate execution
• Assist with schedule updates and coordination across project stakeholders
• Monitor progress and provide updates to the project team
Procurement & Documentation:
• Coordinate material and equipment procurement activities
• Maintain project documentation and reporting systems
• Lead or assist with weekly project meetings and distribute meeting minutes
Quality & Safety:
• Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and jobsite audits
• Support quality control processes, including inspections and issue tracking
• Assist with BIM/VDC coordination and interpretation where needed
Team Support:
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff or administrative personnel on the project
Contribute to a collaborative and organized project environment

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience supporting commercial construction projects
• 1+ year of exposure to cost estimating, budgeting, or preconstruction support
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel in particular), along with platforms such as Primavera, Prolog, and Autodesk tools
