Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Senior Python Developer to support and expand a core domain powering new banking services. This role focuses on building and maintaining cloud-native, data-centric microservices in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
You’ll work closely with multiple data teams operating in a SAFe Agile framework, contributing to architectural decisions, implementing new features, and helping modernize systems as they move to the cloud. This is a hands-on role with real influence on long-term platform standards and design.
Pay range falls from $62-$70/hr dependent on YOE

Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of professional Python backend/API development
• Strong experience building REST APIs and microservices
• Experience with FastAPI, gRPC, or similar Python frameworks
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native deployments
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience building or modifying CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
• Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience working in an enterprise environment
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles and writing clean, testable, maintainable code
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with data-centric or high-throughput microservices
• Familiarity with event-driven, streaming, or asynchronous systems
• Experience implementing or tuning OpenSearch / Lucene-based search
• Knowledge of cloud-native security best practices
• Experience working within SAFe or Agile frameworks
