Job Description
We are seeking a Network Engineer with strong automation and DevOps experience to support the design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of large-scale telecom and cloud-based platforms. This role is heavily focused on WiFi infrastructure, 5G Core environments, and HMNO (Hybrid Mobile Network Operator) systems, with an emphasis on improving network performance, scalability, and operational efficiency through automation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on network engineer who understands modern infrastructure automation tools and CI/CD practices.
Job Responsibilities
Network Engineering:
• Design, support, and optimize WiFi infrastructure and Wireless Access Gateway (WAG) architecture
• Support routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless backbone environments
• Provide expertise in 5G Core components (AMF, SMF, UPF, PCF, NRF) and assist with RAN integration
• Troubleshoot production incidents, signaling issues, and data path performance problems
• Perform capacity planning, high availability design, and redundancy optimization
• Ensure alignment with 3GPP standards and telecom architecture best practices
• Partner with infrastructure and operations teams to support network deployments, trials, and scaling initiatives
Automation / DevOps:
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting network and infrastructure deployments
• Automate NBO workflows, provisioning tasks, and operational processes
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform
• Integrate with network APIs and orchestration systems to streamline deployments
• Enhance monitoring and observability across network and cloud platforms
• Support incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation efforts
Cross-Functional:
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, MOPs, and operational runbooks
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, vendors, and leadership teams
• Support production environments and work effectively under tight timelines
•Assist with knowledge transfer and cross-team enablement

Required Skills & Experience
• 5–10+ years of experience in Network Engineering, Telecom Infrastructure, or similar roles (DevOps exposure strongly preferred)
• Strong hands-on experience with: Routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless networks. WiFi infrastructure and WAG architecture. 5G Core technologies and telecom environments
• Experience troubleshooting production network issues and performance bottlenecks
• Exposure to automation tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, or Bash
• Working knowledge of CI/CD principles and infrastructure as code
• Experience in cloud and/or hybrid environments
• Strong understanding of network protocols (BGP, IGP) and system performance tuning
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, Datadog, Splunk)
• Experience in HMNO or large-scale service provider environments (e.g., Charter, Verizon, AT&T)
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, OpenShift, KVM)
• Exposure to network security, hardening, and cybersecurity frameworks
•Experience with compute/storage infrastructure (SAN/NAS, UCS)
