Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking to add DevOps engineers to their team. They are building and expanding a DevOps team to support and evolve a large-scale AWS-based data and container platform. This team has taken ownership of the EMR (Hadoop) environment and is responsible for both stabilizing existing infrastructure and building new solutions from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining AWS infrastructure that supports both data and application platforms. The engineer will own and manage EMR (Hadoop) clusters, including building EMR environments from scratch, managing and optimizing existing clusters, and ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of data workloads such as Data Pulse. The position also involves supporting and operating EKS (Kubernetes) environments across multiple infrastructures, implementing and maintaining AWS Lambda functions and event‑driven architectures, and managing IAM, security policies, and access controls across AWS services. In addition, the engineer will design and support networking components including VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groups, collaborate closely with data, platform, and application teams to support production workloads, troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues across EMR, EKS, and AWS services, and continuously improve automation, monitoring, and operational processes. The role also contributes to defining infrastructure standards, documentation, and best practices.

This role will pay between 40-50 USD and is hybrid 3 days a week on Greenwood Village CO.
