Job Description

The Compliance Manager will design and implement the compliance framework for our property & casualty insurance business. This means both determining the right architecture for our compliance program and rolling up their sleeves to build and operate it. The role requires strong business judgment, the ability to prioritize what’s truly material, and deep familiarity with P&C regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect, implement, and maintain a compliance infrastructure that meets P&C regulatory requirements while supporting business agility.
• Monitor federal and state insurance regulations and translate them into clear, actionable guidance for business teams.
• Partner with underwriting, claims, distribution, and operations to embed compliance into daily workflows.
• Apply a risk-based mindset to distinguish between material and immaterial compliance issues, ensuring focus on areas with real impact.
• Provide pragmatic, prioritized recommendations to leadership on compliance and risk matters.
• Lead compliance training and awareness programs across the company.
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews and audits, escalating only issues that represent meaningful exposure.
• Serve as a primary liaison with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in compliance, legal, or risk management roles within property & casualty insurance (required).
• Demonstrated ability to apply proportionality—knowing where exact adherence is required and where a more flexible, risk-tolerant approach is sufficient.
• Proven ability to both design compliance frameworks and build operational processes from the ground up.
• Strong grasp of how compliance decisions affect underwriting, claims, distribution, and overall growth.
• Skilled at translating complex regulations into clear, actionable guidance for business teams.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
• Able to build trusted relationships across teams and influence without unnecessary rigidity.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
