Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Mobile App Developer to join their team remotely based out of Englewood, CO. The app developer will be a part of a high performing agile team working on a mobile application used by airline pilots using the Scaled Agile methodology (SaFE). Duties include working with business and customer experience teams to understand software requirements and translate them to marketable features to increase market share in the flight operations domain. Other duties includes triage and resolution of emergent customer support issues and other defects. The Mobile App Developer will:

Design, build and maintain a large (500,000+ line) commercial aviation iOS application

Work closely with business analysists and architects to plan and document specifications

Write testable, maintainable code and perform code reviews to ensure others do the same

Provide quick troubleshooting of emergent customer and production issues

Mentor junior team members

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years iOS development including Swift and Obj-C

RESTful API development and troubleshooting (Postman/CURL)

Knowledge of software architecture, concurrency, reactive programming

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Agile and Test Driven Development practices

XML and Schema

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Java

Experience with Git and Git clients

HTML/Javascript/CSS skills

Previous experience with flight deck applications and 633 XML schema
