A client of Insight Global is looking to add a level 4 Technical Writer to their team to work hybrid 4 days onsite 1 day remote in Englewood, CO. In this role, the Technical Writer will be responsible for auditing, revising, and upgrading existing documentation related to aeronautical mapping, navigation data, and charting systems. They will ensure all materials meet FAA requirements, internal standards, and best practices for regulated environments. On a daily basis, the writer will collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding engineering, quality assurance, and regulatory stakeholdersto gather technical inputs and translate them into clear, compliant documentation. They will maintain and enhance the document control system, ensuring version control, traceability, and readiness for audits. The writer will also support FAA audits and approvals by preparing and organizing required documentation, while creating and updating SOPs, work instructions, user manuals, and validation documents. Participation in documentation planning meetings and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives will be a regular part of the workflow.
This role pays between $40-$50 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. 710+ years of experience in technical writing within regulated or qualified environments (e.g., GxP, FDA, ISO, aerospace, medical devices, or similar).
Strong understanding of documentation standards, compliance, and quality systems.
Experience with document control systems, structured content, and versioning.
Proficiency in tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, Confluence, or XML-based authoring tools.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Familiarity with FAA documentation standards or aeronautical data is a plus, but not required.
Experience supporting audit readiness and regulatory submissions.
Background in library science, information architecture, or content management systems
