DOCSIS Network Engineer III

Charter is looking for a strong Network Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves investigating issues on enterprise networks and related hardware and software, reproducing issues in a lab environment, and collaborating with vendors to create solutions. The Network Engineer will design and document network architecture, perform assessments on existing technologies to identify performance and capacity gaps, and establish security, connectivity, and access parameters. Additionally, the role includes providing recommendations to optimize network infrastructure, testing and tuning security devices and systems, programming routers and switches, and implementing communications technologies (data or voice). The Network Engineer will manage network services from the planning phase through implementation. The pay range for this position starts at $53/hr and ranges up depending on years of experience

5-10 years of Network Engineering experience
Solid knowledge of switch platforms, routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies and network infrastructure is required
Advanced knowledge of the DOCSIS, EPON, and RPHY standards
Working knowledge of iCMTS platforms including: Casa C100G, Arris E6000, Cisco cBR8
Experience working with Harmonic CableOS vCMTS and RPDs (Hamonic Pebble 2 and Vecima ERM-32X)
Ability to write technical documentation with ability to follow detailed technical test plans and present results
