A large telecommunications client is looking for an Automation Engineer to join their growing test organization. As part of the internal support organization, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of a software application designed to drive continuous automation and validation for operational efficiencies in a pre-production environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks to support comprehensive testing efforts. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop test strategies, author detailed test plans and test cases and ensure alignment with business and technical requirements. A strong understanding of automation tools and methodologies will be essential as you create and execute automated test scripts, primarily using Selenium and Python. You will be responsible for analyzing test results, identifying root causes of failures, and driving resolution through effective communication and teamwork. Your work will directly contribute to the stability and performance of internal systems, enabling faster and more reliable software delivery across the organization.
Pay Range: $32-$37 / hr

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Experience with logging systems such as Splunk and Datadog
Experience with message queuing technologies (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)

Experience with data collection and distribution using SNMP and Kafka
Understanding of software security principles and patterns
Experience maintaining test environments and managing test data/system configurations
