Job Description

An employer based in Colorado and the DMV area is hiring for a remote Systems Engineer to join their fast paced government services contract team servicing a VA contract for 3 months. This person will be working on a contract that will support the VA, helping to evaluate veteran care. Their key responsibilities will include leading the design, integration, and optimization of healthcare and IT systems supporting assessment and reporting functions, ensuring alignment with healthcare operational needs and technical requirements. They will also evaluate existing system architectures to identify gaps in performance, scalability, and compliance with VA and federal standards, recommending and implementing improvements. They will help to apply systems engineering principles to define technical requirements for healthcare systems, ensuring the implementation of secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.

This is a 3-month contract role with potential to convert to a full time employee based on future work won by the client. This role is paying anywhere form $48-58/hr.

Required Skills & Experience

A minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare IT systems engineering, systems integration, or a related field.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience in building out, troubleshooting, evaluating, and optimizing Microsoft Systems environments

Strong understanding of healthcare systems, their operational processes, and technology requirements for assessment and reporting

Backgorund working with VA or DOD clients

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, or existing Public Trust clearance
