Job Description

We are seeking a Program Development Lead to drive strategic initiatives in HVAC, lighting, and solar solutions. This role blends presales expertise, consulting acumen, and financial structuring skills to design and deliver innovative programs that meet client needs and accelerate adoption of sustainable technologies. As the Program Development Lead, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight to a team of program development specialists responsible for creating and delivering comprehensive business cases and financial proposals for clients. This role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of quality assurance and quality control, driving innovation in proposal development processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize sales strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess and oversee the following responsibilities:
- Advanced financial analysis skills
- Understanding of legal guidelines and proposals to develop and implement large-scale innovative strategies to streamline proposal development and improve efficiency and quality.
- Have relevant domain expertise within the energy sector to provide strategic direction to Sales Executives and clients and the program development team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- A track record of driving results in fast-paced environments
- Drive collaboration across departments (Sales, Finance, Legal, Delivery, Engineering) to optimize sales strategies and program delivery.

This is onsite 2 weeks a month (T,W,TH) in Downtown Denver, Colorado as a Direct hire role offering 115k-125k Salary

Required Skills & Experience

- 8–12 years in program development, structured finance, or investment banking
- Strong background in financial modeling, risk analysis, and deal structuring
- Experience in customer-facing roles with executive-level engagement
- Ability to read and interpret contracts/SOWs and collaborate with legal teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience in HVAC, Solar, Lighting, or broader energy efficiency projects
- Familiarity with EPCs, OEMs, and energy services organizations
- Exposure to incentives, M&V, and multi-region proposal development
