Job Description

We are seeking a Infrastructure / Facilities Project Manager to support this telecom and fiber company's Space & Power Acceleration Program. This is a non‑software PM role focused on physical infrastructure projects across central office (CO) and telecom facilities.
The PM will manage execution of projects expanding space and DC power capacity (e.g., rectifiers, power plants, cooling) across ~172 prioritized sites. Engineers define technical scope and vendors; the PM owns vendor coordination, POs, schedules, risk tracking, and status reporting to leadership.
The role requires hands‑on experience with facilities or infrastructure projects (buildings, power, cooling, CO environments). The PM does not design solutions but must be capable of reviewing engineering design packets, identifying gaps or omissions, understanding permitting and site constraints, and keeping projects moving in a fast‑paced environment.
Projects range from small “quick wins” to large capital builds. The PM will ramp over the first 1–3 weeks, then manage multiple projects in parallel, partnering closely with engineers and cross‑functional stakeholders. Strong communication, organization, and comfort operating in a high‑output, controlled‑chaos environment are critical.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of project management experience supporting infrastructure, facilities, or physical network environments (e.g., central offices, data centers, telecom facilities, power or building systems).
- Hands‑on experience managing physical infrastructure projects, including power, cooling, space, or building upgrades.
- Ability to review engineering design packets (DES) and identify gaps, omissions, or risks (e.g., power, cooling, permitting, site constraints), even if not responsible for design.
- Proven experience managing vendors, purchase orders (POs), schedules, and project execution through completion.
Strong understanding of project dependencies, critical path, and issue resolution in capital or facilities projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear status updates to engineers, leadership, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in parallel in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a high‑output, “controlled chaos” environment.
- Proficiency with common project management and productivity tools (e.g., Excel, trackers, PM tools). Salesforce highly desired.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience in telecom, fiber, data center, or central office (CO) environments.
- Familiarity with DC power systems, rectifiers, power plants, cooling systems, or space planning.
- Exposure to permitting, site access, and vendor coordination across geographically distributed facilities.
- Experience supporting capital projects ranging from quick‑win upgrades to large‑scale builds.
- Prior experience working closely with engineering teams to relieve engineers of PM execution responsibilities.
