Job Description
We are seeking a highly proactive, "self-starting" Software Assurance (SwA) Engineer to lead the effort in securing a Software Assessment (SwA) Only Authority to Operate (ATO) from the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) for a complex, government-wide software package.
You will not just be managing a checklist; you will be actively building, writing, and gathering the required artifacts. You must be capable of working cross-functionally, integrating directly with our Development, MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering), and Management teams to extract necessary system details and translate them into compliant RMF and MDA-specific documentation.

Required Skills & Experience
• Demonstrated success in achieving ATOs (preferably SwA Only or Fast Track) within DoD environments, specifically MDA.
• Familiarity with DoD SRGs, STIGs, and container hardening guidelines.
• Strong technical writing skills with a portfolio of previously authored ATO artifacts (PPSM, System Security Plans, Policy 16 docs, etc.).
• DoD 8570/8140 compliance (e.g., Security+, CISSP) preferred.
- Familiarity with GitLab.
