Job Description

Insight Global is hiring for a Software DevOps Engineer to support a large government prime in Colorado Springs, CO. This is an onsite M-F position and will require an Active Secret or Interim Secret DoD clearance. This position requires a early-mid career software engineer with DevOps experience who will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support Advanced Simulations for Ballistic Missiles. The Software DevOps Engineer will design, development, test, document and integrate simulation products using C++ and/or C# programming languages on Windows operating systems. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Object Oriented Programming as well as DevOps methodologies such as design, implement, maintain and deploy CI/CD Pipelines. This is a long-term contract-to-hire opportunity with the prime. This role is located on-site daily in Colorado Springs at the Primes facility with no option for remote/hybrid work. Salary Range: $90,000-$156,00. Exact compensation will vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Required Skills & Experience

Required Skills:
Active Secret or Interim Secret DoD clearance
Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2-9 years of related experience
Security+ Certification is required to start.
Proficiency developing software in object-oriented programming languages such as C#, C++, or Java
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Understanding of Windows Operation Systems
Experience with CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps methodologies (design, implement, maintain and deploy)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nice to have Skills:
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or GitLab
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices
Knowledge or experience in several of the following: missile defense domain knowledge, command and control, and modeling and simulation development.
Experience in agile software development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
Experience with JIRA and GIT
Knowledge of databases and SQL
