Insight Global is looking for a Kinematics Modeling Engineer to join a classified program to support Missile Tracking and Prediction. The position will be based in Colorado Springs, CO at Schriever Space Force Base. This group is responsible for the development and delivery of high-fidelity threat modeling products. The Kinematics Modeling Engineer will have an understanding of our adversarys capabilities (as it relates to missiles), preferred Tactics, Techniques and Procedures and strategic objectives for any given scenario. The Kinematics Modeling Engineer will primarily be responsible for intelligence research on adversaries. This information is then used in missile defense activities and provided to select foreign countries for use in simulations to analyze missile defense system performance and effectiveness. The Kinematics Modeling Engineers work will results in an end-to-end threat attack laydown file that is modeled by the Threat Modeling Center, providing the kinematic output data of simulated missile trajectories Other responsibilities include: help review customer scenario requests and provide feedback on potential problems or issues before the production process begins; Review the final document and data to ensure the customers objectives were met; Ensure high-resolution data accuracy; Generate kinematic trajectories using in house tools and trouble-shooting products and data. This group also works closely with System Engineering and Software Development groups, as most of the tools used by the group are developed in-house. Pay Range: $80-150k annually. Exact compensation will vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Experience with missile defense system components and their interoperability
Knowledge of missile targeting and allocation and Red Force laydowns
Experience with infrared and radar cross section (RCS) signatures
Experience in systems engineering and/or software development and testing, especially with the Agile methodology
Experience working within the Missile Defense Agency, especially related to Ground Test exercises/events
Ability to obtain DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
