Job Description

A company in the Boulder, CO area is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the program supporting the Missile Defense Agency for early warning missile detection and prediction. The selected DevOps Engineer will plan and evolve processes and infrastructure to support deployment of capability while sustaining stable security and configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed SW and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. The DevOps Engineer will integrate development pipelines leveraging automation with test-driven development tools. Functions with agile principles to execute efficiently in an environment of continuous feedback. Ensures implementation of Software Configuration Management (SCM), code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Develops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. This person will be doing software build management and performing more CM process related activities as a software configuration analysis. Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to maintain and improve software configuration management tools. Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use.

Aides in the development of software configuration standards for program-wide use. Will train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience

* Active DoD Secret security clearance and US Citizen

* Bachelor's Degree in a STEM and 2-10+ years of related experience

* Experience with Linux OS experience

* Experience with Python, Perl or shell scripting a

* Experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, and automation processes

* Familiarity with Software Configuration Management (SCM), code quality, and code coverage with automated and manual testing on executable code

* Ability and willingness to travel up-to 10% to support business needs.

* Full software development lifecycle experience
