Job Description
An Industrial Engineering company specializing in mechanical and control systems commissioning and decommissioning is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team in Aurora, CO. As a Controls Engineer, you will design and build control systems for conveyors for various clients within logistics, manufacturing, and air travel industries. You will be responsible for the design of industrial control panels using AutoCAD to be built by the panel shop. Additionally, responsibilities include programming PLCs and HMIs from concept to completion, including VFD's and graphical touchscreens. You will work with AutoCAD, Rockwell Software, Allen-Bradley hardware, and network design. The first 2 months (October and November) will be about 50%-75% travel to various sites within the US for commissioning and troubleshooting (no more than 5-10 days at a time), which will help get you up to speed on the projects, then will drop significantly later in the year to 10-25%. We are more than happy to work with your prior commitments to accommodate a travel schedule that fits your lifestyle. This is a 6 Month Contract to Hire (will go permanent after 6 months with room for advancement). A federal background check and drug test are required upon an offer being extended.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree heavily preferred
5+ years hands-on field experience troubleshooting and commissioning industrial conveyer, material handling, or similar equipment
5+ years' experience programming PLC and HMI from concept to completion
3+ years AutoCAD design experience for industrial control panels
Comfortable travelling 50%- 75% for first 2 months, then dropping to 10-20%
