Job Description

A worldwide manufacturing company is looking for a Senior Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Engineer for a permanent placement in Arvada, CO. The I&C Engineers will work on a team of 4 to play a crucial role in the creation and design of automation control systems that are attached to industrial pumps and compressors for client companies in multiple growing industries. Main responsibilities include design validation, creating as-built drawings, selecting instrumentation and transmitters, recalibration. They will be creating architecture and loop diagrams, diagnosing automation problems, configuring software packages, programming PLCs and HMI/SCADA, and providing a bill of materials. Finally, they will consult with the manufacturing team from startup to integration, including hardware architectures and design validation, and coordinating with the shop floor, including mechanical and electrical teams.

The position has room for advancement within the company, which is diversified into multiple industries and recession-proof. Employees work a 9/80 on site schedule after training. Travel 5% of the time.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor Degree

7-10+ years' experience in Controls Design/Engineering in Oil & Gas (manufacturing preferred)

2+ years AutoCAD panel Design

4+ years' Experience programming PLCs, HMI, SCADA

2+ years' Experience selecting & recalibrating instrumentation and transmitters

Experience reading Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)

Ability to travel internationally, around 1 week a year

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

1+ years' Experience developing parametric family content in a Revit environment

1+ years' Experience working with domestic and international Vendors

1+ Years experience using Siemens or GE PLCs
