Job Description

A large, rapidly expanding worldwide Manufacturing company is looking for a both 1st and 2nd shift CNC 9 Axis Mill Turn Set up/Operator (4x10s, 6:00am - 4:30pm OR 4:00pm - 2:30am Mon - Th) for permanent placement in Arvada, CO. The Machinist will play a crucial role in the fabrication of custom metal parts, including complex impellers and inducers, for use in multiple growing industries. Main responsibilities include setting up and operating a Doosan Puma 9 axis mill-turn. Materials range from aluminum to stainless/hardened steel and include exotic metals like titanium, inconel, and hastelloy. Machinists will consistently work with a total tolerance of .0005, make and modify tooling/gauging, and inspect products using micrometers, dial indicators, surface plate, profilometers, and optical comparators. Candidates will need to be able to work independently and have the ability to learn and apply new information. Both shifts will start on 1st Shift for training until up to speed (1-3 months). 1st shift will stay on 1st, and 2nd shift will move to 2nd.

Required Skills & Experience

HS Diploma/GED

5+ years of experience in machine setup and operation with Mill-Turn, Mill, or Lathe, and a variety of other machines (Mill, grinders)

Experience working with exotic metals in addition to steel (Titanium, Inconel, Hastelloy)

Ability to read, interpret, and make minor edits to G&M Code

Good Attitude

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Working knowledge of Shop Trigonometry

Communication skills
