Job Description

Overview:

Insight Global is looking for a Water Treatment Engineer to support an industry leading environmental engineering firm specializing in planning, designing and constructing water and wastewater facilities in San Diego, Orange County or Los Angeles. This individual will be responsible for supporting project initiatives through designing, optimizing and managing the overall treatment process.

Responsibilities will include:

Conduct civil engineering tasks for water and wastewater treatment facilities and conveyance infrastructure, and developing municipal drinking water and wastewater systems, treatment process design

Engage in engineering planning and design projects, performing conceptual and preliminary design activities, including site visits, fieldwork oversight, alternatives analysis, and report preparation.

Develop civil engineering plans and specifications.

Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects.

Create technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.

Coordinate efforts with other engineering disciplines, designers, modelers, technicians, and team members involved in specific assignments.

Participate in field activities such as pilot testing.

Conduct permitting and alternatives analysis.

Participate in field activities and site reconnaissance.

Candidates will need to be local to theSan Diego, Orange County or Los Angeles area or open to relocation.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of Water-Treatment Project Experience and/or Hands on Mechanical or Chemical Process Designing experience developing Treatment systems

Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques

Must have demonstrated experience or knowledge in the design and construction phase of small, medium, and large sized water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Bachelors Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

E.I.T License and is able to obtain a P.E. within the next 1-2 Years

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Registered Professional Engineer (Preferably in the State of California)
