Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Spanish Bilingual Repair Technician to join one of our medical device clients in Union City, CA. This role involves hands on repair, testing, and troubleshooting of surgical equipment within an FDA and ISO 13485 regulated environment. The technician will inspect devices, perform preventative maintenance, document repair findings, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure high quality service and compliance with established procedures.
You will support root cause investigations, help determine whether product complaints should be initiated, coordinate service activities, and occasionally assist on site at customer locations. Success in this position requires strong mechanical aptitude, comfort interpreting technical documentation, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly in both English and Spanish.

Hourly Pay Range: $21-27/hr. (dependent on various factors such as relevant experience, background, and education)

Required Skills & Experience

- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience repairing, inspecting, or troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical equipment in the medical device field
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering documents, or device specifications
- Experience in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO 13485, or similar)
- Possess strong problem-solving ability, self-motivation, and high sense of ownership
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to walk frequently and lift/push up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to commute to Union City, CA (onsite role)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Prior experience inspecting, repairing, and servicing medical devices and surgical systems/equipment (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
- Background supporting complaint investigations or root cause analysis
- Familiarity with RGA/repair processes, complaint documentation, or quality system procedures
- Customer facing service experience (hospitals, OR staff, biomedical technicians, field service teams, etc.)
- Ability to coordinate service calls or follow up on part orders and technical inquiries
