We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented OSP Engineer III to join the engineering team for one of our telecommunications clients. This role is responsible for the design, cost estimation, permitting, and documentation of outside plant (OSP) fiber infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in telecom CAD systems, permitting processes, and cross-functional coordination with municipalities, developers, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Documentation
Engineer and design OSP fiber projects using CAD software.
Prepare and update project prints and mapping records.
Close out ASBUILTs and retire Engineering PDRs as needed.
Cost Estimation
Develop cost estimates for internal fiber builds and external meet-point connections with backhaul providers.
Support the sales team with accurate and timely cost figures for installation, rearrangement, or removal of OSP facilities.
Permitting & Regulatory Coordination:
Serve as the subject matter expert for permitting processes.
Coordinate with city, power companies, and joint-use entities.
Liaise with municipalities and government agencies to secure necessary approvals.
Investigate and maintain Right-of-Ways and Easements for release and compliance.
Project Coordination
Project tracking and management in Varasset
Prepare cut sheets and cable throws; coordinate with all relevant departments.
Meet and communicate with developers at construction sites to ensure alignment and execution.
