Insight Global is looking for a Systems Engineer to join one of the world's leading technology companies. You will be part of the Reality Labs organization which brings people around the world together through next generation Augmented, Mixed, & Virtual Reality.
As a Systems Engineer, you will be the bridge between electrical, mechanical, and software teams, ensuring that every subsystem comes together into a cohesive, high-quality consumer hardware product. You will own the process of translating broad product goals into clear, testable engineering requirements and will lead cross-functional decision-making to balance technical trade-offs. By managing requirements decomposition and maintaining alignment across disciplines, you will enable faster design cycles, reduce integration risks, and help deliver products that meet performance, cost, and schedule objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Work cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and software engineering teams to define, refine, and validate product requirements.
Lead the creation and management of requirements decomposition structures, ensuring traceability from high-level system goals down to subsystem and component specifications.
Drive system-level architecture decisions that balance performance, manufacturability, cost, and schedule.
Conduct trade studies and risk analyses to guide engineering decisions.
Oversee system integration, ensuring that all subsystems work together as intended.
Develop and maintain system verification and validation plans, including test strategies for functional and performance metrics.
Manage cross-functional issue resolution, facilitating alignment between engineering disciplines.
Support manufacturing ramp-up by collaborating with operations and quality teams to resolve design-for-manufacturability and system reliability challenges.
