Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Data Center Project Architect to support its Fortune 50 Tech customer. This is a hands-on role where someone will design and build end-to-end data and application systems—everything from AWS-based data lakes to analytics dashboards and AI-driven workflows. They’re looking for a strong full-stack engineer with deep AWS experience and a background in data pipelines, ideally in manufacturing or IoT environments. It’s a 12-month onsite role in Sunnyvale with a strong bill rate, and the work directly supports next-gen device and optics innovation. This is a great fit for someone who wants to own architecture, work with cutting-edge AI tools, and have real impact on how data is collected and used at scale.
• Build internal web apps for metrology configuration management
• Develop and manage S3-based data lake + pipelines
• Build serverless backend services for data ingestion & processing
• Create analytics dashboards (yield, SPC, GRR, etc.)
• Implement AI-driven analysis workflows
• Collaborate with engineers + vendors to translate requirements into architecture

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years experience building full-stack web applications (React/TypeScript frontend + cloud backend)
• 5+ years experience with AWS services: S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, DynamoDB, Athena, or equivalent cloud data stack
• 5+ years experience designing data pipelines and data models for manufacturing, quality, or IoT systems
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, transformation, and analysis
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform)
• Strong communication skills - ability to translate between hardware engineering domain experts and software architecture

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• M.S. in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC), GRR methodology, or metrology/quality data systems
• Familiarity with MES implementations or industrial data acquisition systems
• Background in display/optical metrology or hardware quality systems
• Experience with AI/ML agent frameworks or tool-integration patterns for connecting analysis workflows to structured data
