Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Medical Director to join the dedicated team at a full-service animal hospital in Stockton, CA. The successful candidate will be part of a clinic that emphasizes a positive work environment, creating happy veterinarians and happy pets. This role involves providing comprehensive medical care to cats and dogs, performing surgeries, conducting wellness exams, and delivering preventative services. The candidate will work closely with a team of veterinary technicians, assistants, and fellow veterinarians to maintain a high standard of patient care and client communication.

The Veterinarian will utilize advanced tools and technology available at the clinic to manage a variety of cases, including orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries, as well as C-sections and TPLO procedures. A strong emphasis is placed on pet wellness and preventative care, offering services such as vaccinations, microchipping, dental care, behavior counseling, lab testing, and access to a comprehensive online pharmacy. The clinic, open five days a week, has a reputation for excellence in the Stockton community and surrounding areas and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

Required Skills & Experience

DVM degree or equivalent from an accredited veterinary program
Valid veterinary license in the state of California
3+ years of working experience
Ability to perform surgeries and general medical procedures
Experience working with cats and dogs in a clinical setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Dedication to delivering compassionate and comprehensive care

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Proven leadership experience in a veterinary setting
Ability to mentor and develop team members in a collaborative setting
Experience in specialized areas such as orthopedic or oncologic surgery
Familiarity with digital diagnostics and advanced veterinary technology
Experience with wellness and preventative care programs
