Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Senior CloudOps Engineer to lead the execution of our AWS cloud operations strategy. This role is critical to driving the adoption of modern operational practices across the organization. You will architect and implement highly automated, reliable, and cost-efficient systems that support production services, R&D initiatives, and corporate functions. As a strategic technical leader, you’ll collaborate with CloudOps leadership to define roadmaps, mentor engineers, and foster a culture of operational excellence. Your day-to-day will involve building infrastructure as code, designing CI/CD pipelines, automating workflows, enhancing observability, and optimizing cloud spend.

Required Skills & Experience
• 7+ years of experience in CloudOps, SRE, or DevOps with a strong track record of technical leadership and project ownership.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK, Pulumi, or TF CDK.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining complex CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Expert-level Python scripting skills.
• Deep knowledge of AWS Organizations and services.
• Strong skills in observability, cloud networking, security, and FinOps (cloud cost optimization).
• Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks, especially in healthcare (HIPAA, CLIA, FDA).
• Knowledge of AWS services: Control Tower, IAM Identity Center, VPC, and EC2.
• Familiarity with additional scripting languages (e.g., Bash).
• Hands-on experience with observability platforms like Amazon CloudWatch, Sumo Logic, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Background in incident response and post-mortem strategy.
• Prior involvement in cloud governance and policy implementation.
