Job Description
As a Cybersecurity Engineer for a leading Biotech company, you will play a pivotal role in securing the digital infrastructure, monitoring for threats, and implementing cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. You will work collaboratively with the IT and cybersecurity teams to protect the organization from cyber threats and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the systems and data.
Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and other security-related technologies.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans, identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities.
Threat Monitoring and Incident Response:
- Monitor network and system logs for suspicious activities and potential security incidents.
- Develop and execute incident response plans to effectively manage and mitigate cybersecurity incidents.
- Investigate security breaches and provide recommendations for improvements.
Policy and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST CSF).
- Assist in the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of security.
Security Tools and Technologies:
- Evaluate and implement advanced cybersecurity tools and technologies to enhance our security posture.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and trends in the cybersecurity field and recommend proactive measures.
Security Audits and Assessments:
- Collaborate with external auditors and assessors to conduct security audits and assessments.
- Work on remediation plans to address identified weaknesses.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development and deployment processes.
- Communicate cybersecurity risks and strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CEH, Pentest+, CySA+, SSCP, OSCP, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related cybersecurity role.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and antivirus solutions.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security best practices.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
