Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team! The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, including processing high-volume journal entries and analyzing large datasets using advanced Excel functions. Daily duties include maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and reporting standards. This position is a permanent role sitting in either Seal Beach, CA (3x a week on site) or New Canaan, CT (5x a week on site). The base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7-10+ years of general accounting experience, with experience being a Sr. Accountant
• Experience in investment fund accounting (mutual funds, private equity, etc.) or whole loan accounts/mortgages
• Expertise in Excel functions and looking at large data sets
• Experience dealing with large transaction environment (journal entries up to 1000 lines)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field
• Excellent organization and communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Technical accounting experience preparing financial statements
• Business Central ERP experience
• Big 4 experience (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG)
• CPA License
