Job Description
Insight Global is seeking experienced Mechanical/Manufacturing NPI Engineers with a strong emphasis on liquid cooling to join our team. These engineers will play a critical role in bridging engineering and manufacturing to implement advanced liquid-cooled switch products into production. The focus is on how to implement liquid cooling solutions at scale, ensuring readiness for installation, manufacturability, and training for deployment.
What You'll Do:
-Act as the primary interface between mechanical design teams and manufacturing for liquid cooling implementation.
-Drive technical implementation of liquid cooling systems at both product level (switch/rack) and manufacturing level.
-Define requirements for installation and develop processes to integrate liquid cooling solutions into production environments.
-Support training for installation and maintenance of liquid cooling systems.
-Collaborate with mechanical engineers on design -feasibility and manufacturability.
-Develop and release high-level mechanical assemblies and BOMs using PLM tools (Agile, Oracle).
-Oversee fluid delivery systems at facility and system levels.
Support NPI processes including prototype builds, DFM reviews, and ramp to volume manufacturing.
Travel internationally as needed (passport required; company will sponsor China visa).
PR: $90-100/ hr

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical NPI engineering,
• 1+ focused on liquid cooling at both product and manufacturing levels.
• Proven experience in technical implementation of liquid cooling solutions, including:
○ Design and scaling of cooling loops and components (cold plates, vapor chambers, heat pipes, fittings).
○ Transitioning designs into high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical commodities:
○ Sheet metal, die casting, plastics
○ Copper heatsinks with vapor chambers and/or heat pipes
Cold plates and fluid delivery systems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with PLM tools (Agile, Oracle) for BOM creation and release.
