Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and growth-oriented Jamf Administrator to support and scale our rapidly expanding Apple environment. This role will focus on backend administration of Jamf, including application deployments, policy updates, and complex troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background in macOS systems and a passion for continuous learning. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless support and management of our Apple infrastructure, which is expected to double in size over the next year.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Manage and support Jamf Pro for macOS systems, including application installations, policy creation, and system updates.
Troubleshoot complex issues related to Apple devices and Jamf configurations (approx. 80% of daily tasks).
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of Apple systems.
Monitor and adapt to frequent macOS updates and evolving Apple ecosystem requirements.
Provide backend support beyond user interaction, ensuring Jamf is used to control and secure the environment.
Influence policy development and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

35 years of hands-on experience with Jamf Pro in a backend administrative capacity.
Strong understanding of Jamf policies, application deployments, and troubleshooting.
Experience working in dynamic Apple environments with frequent OS updates.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage and support macOS systems in a professional setting.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Pluses:
Jamf certifications or active pursuit of certification.
Experience working in environments transitioning to or scaling Apple infrastructure.
Exposure to Linux environments (as the growth applies to both Mac and Linux).
Passion for technology and a desire to continuously level up skills.
Interest in long-term opportunities and potential for full-time conversion.

The Apple environment currently makes up 4% of the infrastructure, with plans to double within a year.
