Day-to-Day:
As a Lead Robotics Systems Test Engineer, you will be the point-lead for the team responsible for executing test cases and protocols to verify software functionality using various testing methods, including functional, integration, and system testing. We are looking for someone who can unite and mentor a team, can be the lead point-person for the day-shift leadership team, and be a unifying go-to for a more junior, growing team.
• Lead and support a team of 3+ Robotics Software Test Technicians, providing technical guidance, prioritization, and mentorship
• Execute and oversee test case execution and protocols across functional, integration, and system-level testing
• Review test results for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality standards
• Coordinate testing activities with cross-functional teams (software, systems, and quality)
• Identify gaps, risks, and defects; ensure timely communication and documentation
• Help refine test processes, improve efficiency, and maintain consistency across the team
• Remain hands-on in testing while also owning team-level accountability for outcomes

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
• 5+ years of engineering experience in embedded systems, software testing, quality assurance or complex hardware/software system testing
o Some familiarity with software verification and validation (V&V) concepts
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering, computer science, or related).
• Some level of professional leadership experience
o Prior leadership experience mentoring or managing other more junior engineers, leading test efforts or owning technical deliverables
o Prior experience owning test planning, test reporting or metrics tracking (outcomes, success rates, trainings, etc.)
o Ability to prioritize, delegate, and track work across multiple team members
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills – comfortable presenting to leadership on a routine basis
• Comfortable working a 2pm – 11pm shift time onsite, Monday-Friday
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses:
• Robotics, embedded systems, or medical device industry experience
• Experience leading or managing small technical teams (3–5 people)
