Insight Global is seeking a Claims Analyst to join a premier business advisory services firm based in Santa Clara, CA on a fulltime basis. Our client's firm specializes in insolvency proceedings, including but not limited to liquidating trusts, managed wind downs, and receiverships.
This is an onsite role working in an office setting with hybrid flexibility. The approved salary is $85,000 - $110,000.
The Claims Analyst plays a key role in reviewing, facilitating, and tracking creditor claims submitted in connection with insolvency proceedings, with a primary focus on Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors (ABCs). This position involves analyzing claim documentation against financial statements, tax filings, and court records to validate amounts, determine claim classifications, and identify potential issues.
Responsibilities include supporting the resolution of tax-related claims by reviewing notices from tax agencies, reconciling claim amounts, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate resolution. The Claims Analyst also assists with preparing claim summaries to support distribution planning and overall case management.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Review proof of claim submissions for completeness, accuracy, and supporting documentation.
-Support Professional Staff by performing claim validation, including matching against debtor schedules or internal records. Recommend allowance, reduction, or rejection of claims based on findings.
-Notify and coordinate directly with federal, state, and local tax agencies to resolve outstanding tax liabilities and facilitate the closure of debtor tax accounts.
-Maintain detailed log notes and audit trail relating to creditor communication in the claims management system.
-Prepare summaries or exception reports for internal and external review.
-Support reconciliation and distribution waterfall calculations.

-Basic understanding of statutory deadlines and creditor noticing requirements is a plus
-Prior experience with Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors (ABC), bankruptcy or other insolvency proceedings is a plus
