Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Engineering Technician - EWIS, to sit onsite at an Aerospace client in Santa Clara, CA. This person will work closely with engineers and technicians to support the assembly, integration, and testing of Electrical Wiring and Interconnect Systems (EWIS) for an eVTOL aircraft. This person will play a key role in ensuring product quality, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Some day-to-day tasks include: interpreting drawings/schematics, build/route wiring harnesses, set up and maintain routing tools, conduct continuity/operational tests, ensure safety and quality standards and maintain documentation.
(This role can pay $47-62 an hour depending on years of experience)

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 5+ years of experience in the aerospace and/or automotive industry as an engineering technician.
Associates degree or certification in a field of engineering technology (4+ years of experience can substitute for education requirements)
Experience with wire harness fabrication, high-voltage wiring, batteries, and electric motor controllers.
Proficiency in standard aerospace wiring practices (wire stripping, crimping, soldering)
Knowledge of aircraft safety procedures, tool control, foreign object debris (FOD) prevention, and industry regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering instructions, and FAA guidelines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across various teams.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with shifting priorities.
Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that may expose you to hazardous materials

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Knowledge of IPC 610/620 o NASA-STD-8739 & AC43.13-B standards.
Experience in Computer-Aided Design software (CAD) such as SolidWorks,
Siemens NX, Catia, Etc.
A&P certification or equivalent experience.
Experience working with electric aircraft, aircraft configuration management,
and FAA conformity.
