Job Description

A cloud‑based IT infrastructure monitoring and analytics platform is looking for a Senior UX Researcher. This person will lead end‑to‑end user research across early‑stage concepts, high‑fidelity prototypes, and core product workflows for highly technical users. The ideal candidate has deep experience with UserTesting.com and can operate as a consultative, self‑directed partner in a fast‑moving environment. This role will sit nearshore and must work within 3 hours of PST.

Key Expectations:
• Design and run comprehensive research studies, create protocols, build screeners, and manage participant targeting.
• Execute unmoderated and moderated studies using UserTesting.com and synthesize insights into actionable recommendations.
• Define learning objectives, guide design requirements, and communicate findings to cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Maintain a research roadmap, conduct ongoing outreach, and operate independently without heavy direction.
• Help grow internal research maturity by mentoring designers

Required Skills & Experience

• Deep, advanced experience with UserTesting.com
• Strong communication and consultative skills; highly self‑starter mindset
• 5–7+ years UX Research experience, including work on technical or enterprise software
• Strong mixed‑methods capabilities (qualitative depth + quantitative validation techniques)
• Proven experience owning research end‑to‑end without heavy guidance
• Experience influencing product strategy and driving roadmap decisions.
• Strong proficiency with Figma and/or prototype testing tools.
• Ability to build research protocols, create clear learning objectives, and advise on design requirements.
• Comfort developing personas, journey maps, and workflow analyses for complex multi‑product ecosystems.
Strong stakeholder management and alignment skills; ability to assert and advocate for research needs.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience in enterprise IT, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or technical B2B software environments
• Familiarity with Figma/prototype testing, dScout, telemetry, or analytics tools
• Experience guiding organizations new to UX research
• Experience working in environments with technical logs, saved views, queries, or monitoring dashboards.
• SQL, SPSS, or strong quantitative analysis skills.
Advanced degrees (Master’s/PhD) in HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, or related fields.
