Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Land Development Project Engineer for a client in Santa Ana, CA. In this role, you’ll lead project design from preliminary studies through construction administration and closeout, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the company’s growth. Responsibilities include preparing technical designs and engineering plans, coordinating with project managers and vendors, and managing a diverse workload. You’ll oversee multiple projects, identify design criteria, supervise project activities, and provide solutions to design challenges. Additional tasks include site investigation, due diligence, utility research, conceptual drawings, grading and earthwork analysis, utility system design, WQMP/LID reports, feasibility studies, site layout, and stormwater management. (4 days onsite, Monday is optional)

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
EIT required
5 years of civil engineering experience
3+ land development/site design experience
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities
Excellent time management skills
Proven ability to foster relationships with staff
Proven ability to successfully work on multiple projects concurrently
Flexible to accommodate changing needs of the company, clients, employees and/or projects
Proactive and intrinsically motivated
Consistent delivery of high-quality, technically sound material
3 years with Autodesk Civil 3D (drafting software)
3 years with Bluebeam (PDF editor)
Must be within 25 miles of location
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
PE
Experience in hydrology and drainage software including CivilDesign, Hydrocalc, SWMM, routing software and others
