Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Google Cloud DevOps Engineer to lead and execute a large-scale migration of cloud infrastructure and applications from AWS and Azure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments and deep expertise in GCP services, automation, and CI/CD practices. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, migration strategy planning, and the ability to map equivalent services across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement migration strategies for applications and workloads from AWS and Azure to GCP.
• Assess existing infrastructure and recommend optimal GCP solutions for compute, storage, networking, and application services.
• Develop automation scripts and workflows for provisioning, deployment, and monitoring using Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, and Artifact Registry.
• Ensure security and compliance during migration, leveraging Secret Manager, Cloud KMS, and IAM best practices.
• Optimize performance and cost by selecting appropriate GCP services and configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration and minimal downtime.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices for GCP environments.
• Provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Required Skills & Experience
• Hands-on experience with GCP services, including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Strong understanding of Azure and AWS services and their GCP equivalents (see mapping below).
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of networking concepts: VPC, VPN, Interconnect, Load Balancing, CDN.
• Familiarity with data migration tools and ETL processes (Dataflow, Composer).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud migration projects.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Cloud Logging, Error Reporting).
• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks.
