Job Description
Insight Global consulting is seeking an experience Business Analyst to help automate reporting for a utility customer in the Bay Area. This role supports long-term planning, risk analytics, execution monitoring, and financial forecasting by delivering high-quality data, reliable reporting, and actionable insights. The position plays a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across planning, operations, and finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate, validated, and traceable data supporting LTP financial and risk analytics
- Support and maintain risk data pipelines and scoring processes across core systems (e.g., PIPE to downstream platforms)
- Analyze execution performance against plan, including risk mitigation outcomes and key variance drivers
- Develop recurring reporting and trend analysis to inform leadership and planning decisions
- Support financial forecasting processes, including tool configuration, monthly calibration, and forecast vs. actual analysis

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Power BI business analytics, data analytics, or project controls within complex enterprise environments (e.g., utilities, infrastructure, or large-scale operations)
- Power Platform expertise: hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate to build workflows, automate data processes, and support forecasting/reporting tools
- Experience working with data pipelines and system integrations (e.g., moving data across platforms like PIPE, Foundry, or similar enterprise systems
- Proven ability to analyze, validate, and manage large, complex datasets, including defining data quality rules and resolving discrepancies

- Foundry knowledge
- Microsoft Fabric
- P6 or MS Project familiarity
