Job Description
Evergreen, Insight Global’s Manage Service Division partners with a large local utility company’s Applied Technology Services (ATS) division in their search for a Project Manager to support their Lab Facility & Reliability Initiatives. The Project Manager will oversee the build-out of a new laboratory facility and the development of advanced test capabilities for electromagnetic transient analysis and protection testing. This role blends responsibilities for the lab modernization initiative with ongoing reliability efforts, supporting capital construction, technology deployment, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and administer the tactical implementation plan for the 2026 real-time digital simulation lab modernization.
• Establish and lead weekly/monthly project check-in meetings with stakeholders.
• Manage facility capital upgrade activities, including hardware and software procurement.
• Support operational execution, including staff training and system commissioning.
• Provide oversight for other facility capital construction projects and general technical project management support.
• Collaborate with ATS Manager/Sr. Director team to determine effective program performance metrics and manage scope, schedule, and budget updates.
• Partner with leadership to plan and forecast short- and long-term work, ensuring effective scheduling and resource allocation.
• Promote new technology solutions to improve electric system reliability.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience in engineering, construction management, or a relevant technical discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in facility capital or tenant improvement construction projects.
• Proven ability to work effectively with senior staff and management.
• Experience applying and adapting project management techniques to complex technical initiatives.
• Strong organizational skills for managing scope, schedule, and budget.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience in electric distribution program development and execution, especially in reliability, resiliency, or grid modernization.
• Familiarity with electric utility operations and technology solutions for system reliability.
• Experience supporting operational execution, including staff training and system commissioning.
• Advanced degree or certifications in project management (e.g., PMP).
• Experience partnering with senior leadership to develop program performance metrics and work plans.
