Job Description

This project is specifically focused on supporting a large local utility company's environmental division and supporting a large backlog of city and county data. This is a large scale program designed at automating a manual process to better support CA state residents.

Use skills to improve production and reduce errors in the data gathering and transferring processes.

* Use aerial imagery knowledge and judgment to identify utilities based on engineering documentation

* Analyze engineering/construction project documents to identify discrepancies within the SAP database.

* Review and categorize data for a variety of municipal agencies.

* Analyze and interpret structural plans

* Work in a team environment to resolve issues and reestablish project guidelines

* May perform other duties or handle special projects as assigned

* Work with high volume data in a deadline oriented environment

* Make confident judgements as an individual contributor

* Work with videoconferencing applications including Microsoft Teams, and Zoom

* Record findings in tracker with attention to quality and detail

* Troubleshoot technological issues associated with a virtual workspace.

* Ability to understand, interpret gas and electric work procedures, work methods, standards, policies and guidelines

* Exhibit flexibility in navigating work from home & obstacles presented with working virtually

* Follows established protocols and procedures whenever projects are deemed to:

o Require site restoration

o Require project tags closure

Required Skills & Experience

- 1-3 years of experience within GIS

- Strong Excel experience

- Satellite imagery analysis

- Familiar with data management

- QC & QA

- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

- Experience in developing, implementing, and documenting workflows and GIS best practices.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- SAP (A work management system)

- Analyzing construction documents and associated work logs
