Job Description

Evergreen, Insight Globals Manage Service Division partners with a large local utility companys Applied Technology Services (ATS) division in their search for an Engineering Technician. ATS is responsible for engineering, testing, and analysis services and expertise across multiple disciplines to various company organizations to identify, diagnose, and solve technical problems. Services include inspections, failure analysis, performance assessments, and evaluations on a wide variety of systems and components ranging from in-service concrete to hydroelectric turbine blades to distributed generation. As an Engineer, you will be providing engineering analysis support. You will be reviewing a large volume of engineering reports related to material failure analysis of gas infrastructure (pipelines, etc.) and then supporting the analysis of the data gathered from the reports. Responsibiities include but arent limited to:
On-going data collection and storage procedures
Documentation identifying strategies and methods of data collection and retention.
Interpret drawings
Compile project data into an Excel or SAP database
Create, read and analyze engineering reports
Work in a team atmosphere to resolve issues
Review and analyze specifications of various pipe features and components to ensure compliance with codes and regulations
Create and update databases with project engineering data from as-built construction drawings, Job Estimates, maintenance records, etc.
Communicate project status with shareholders

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering
Experienced working with Adobe/PDF files, excel for tracking, filtering reports, etc.
Detail oriented & Organized
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to learn and improve

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience/knowledge of utility gas pipelines/corrosions, etc.
Experience/knowledge of GIS and/or SAP
Analytical skills
