We are looking for a Land Planning Analyst to join our Evergreen division. The Land Planning Analyst position supports programs of environmental compliance and project permitting where environmental guidelines are established between the company and various state and federal agencies. The primary role is one of project screening, program support, process improvement, and documentation. Project screening utilizes computerized information management systems (MapGuide GIS, HCP Portals, SAP, AEA, PowerBI, and Salesforce) and other standard office communication formats (e-mail, teleconferencing). Program/Project screening and documentation will include daily data entries and assessment of risk and standard subject matter expert (SME) assignment and agency notification or permitting requirements. Program data will support development of programmatic reports and audits. Project screening determines level of project review and potential permitting requirements. Communicating with other Environmental team members and LOB project teams verbally and in writing is another key requirement of this job.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Safety
a. Performs all work in accordance with safety goals and practices
b. Completes all required safety training annually
c. Promotes safety awareness
2. Project Screening and Documentation/Research & Review
a. Review new projects received through the various portals and SAP
b. Forward projects that may require additional field review to the appropriate environmental technical specialist
c. Uses the appropriate database, primarily Salesforce and SAP, to record project-specific information
d. Responsible for maintaining the project databases and updating them frequently
e. Research through GIS/Google Earth, company records, public records, etc. to determine ownerships, land rights, land uses, constraints, regulatory jurisdictions, local, state, and federal regulatory requirements on gas and electric projects
3. Technical Quality Assurance
a. Annually ensure that complete and technically accurate information is provided in the project database for each project completed
b. Continuously update project information as available
4. Cost/ Schedule Management
a. May be asked to keep summary cost data for contracted work
b. Use the SAP portal to document environmental compliance requirements for project leads

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences and/or permitting/Land Use
- 2 years of experience with environmental regulations
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with excellent time management
- Experience with GIS
- Experience with standard office computer applications including Excel and Word
