Job Description
This role supports enterprise and web scale customers who are upgrading or rolling out large wireless and campus networks, such as corporate offices, campuses, or multi site environments. The engineer works directly with customers to validate that Wi Fi, routing, switching, and security features function as expected before the network is deployed. Day to day, they build lab environments that mirror customer setups, run tests to ensure performance and reliability, and troubleshoot issues that could impact user connectivity. They also work closely with Cisco delivery and sales teams, translating technical details into practical guidance and helping customers adopt new wireless solutions with minimal risk.
Day to Day: Insight Global is hiring a Wireless Validation Network Engineer for a major client operating in the technology services space. The Network Engineer will work closely with customers to validate wireless and campus network solutions prior to deployment. Your day to day responsibilities include engaging with customers and stakeholders to plan and execute validation engagements, gathering and analyzing requirements, and building lab environments that mirror real world customer designs. You will author and execute test plans, document results, and identify design gaps or risks, partnering with engineering, delivery, and solution architecture teams to drive resolution. In this customer facing role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping accelerate adoption of new platforms while continuously improving validation efficiency through innovation and collaboration. This is a remote role in Colombia.

Required Skills & Experience
• 4+ years' network engineering experience
• Strong experience with Cisco wireless technologies (802.11, WLC, AP, Catalyst) and enterprise campus networks.
• Proven ability to validate customer network designs through lab builds, test plans, and execution.
• Solid routing and switching fundamentals with Cisco Catalyst platforms.
• ISE knowledge
• Experience working directly with customers and cross functional Cisco teams in delivery or consulting roles.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across wired and wireless network environments.
• Clear, confident English communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
• CCNA or CCNP certification
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Advanced routing, SD WAN, virtualization, or security/cloud exposure.
• Automation or scripting familiarity (Python or Robot Framework).
• Prior test and validation engineering experience and use of industry test tools.
