Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Security Engineering the Greater San Jose area. This individual will serve as the primary owner of IT security and will be responsible for improving and operating key security programs across the organization's environment. You will be doing hands-on security engineering and focused on infrastructure, cloud, endpoint, identity, vulnerability management, monitoring and security tooling maturity while contributing to compliance efforts including NIST 800-171 and ITAR/EAR requirements and need to be comfortable owning tools, tuning detections, driving remediation and building repeatable security processes in a fast-moving technical environment.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands-on information security, security engineering, security operations, cloud security, or infrastructure security experience.
Strong hands-on administration experience with CrowdStrike Falcon, including policy tuning, alert triage, investigation, and endpoint security improvements.
Strong Splunk experience, including writing SPL searches, building alerts/detections, creating dashboards, and tuning noisy alerts.
Experience building or operating vulnerability management programs using scanning tools and remediation workflows across on-prem and cloud environments.
Hands-on AWS security experience, including IAM, security groups, VPC/networking concepts, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Config, logging, monitoring, and posture review.
Experience with Okta administration, SSO, MFA, authentication policies, access reviews, and identity lifecycle concepts.
Working knowledge of network security concepts and tools such as Cisco Meraki, Cisco, Palo Alto, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and segmentation.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with CNAPP, CSPM, or cloud security posture management platforms.
Experience securing Mac-heavy endpoint environments.
Experience with Azure or GCP security, especially in environments expanding beyond AWS.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code security, Terraform, CloudFormation, or CI/CD security.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, AWS Security Specialty, Security+, or similar.
Familiarity with NIST 800-171, CMMC, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
