Ruby on Rails Developer

We’re seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to support the migration of an existing Rails application from a legacy API to a new API. This role is hands‑on and backend‑focused, working within an established production system.
The engineer will split time between core development work (API migration and refactoring) and ongoing Shopify‑related engineering support under a shared support model.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute a Ruby on Rails API migration
- Refactor backend services, integrations, and data flows
- Write, test, and deploy production‑ready code
- Perform release testing, bug fixes, and regression testing
- Support Shopify‑related engineering requests
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure system reliability

- 6+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
- 2+ years supporting or migrating applications within AWS
- Strong software design, testing, and release support
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering or related field

- Exposure to AI / Generative AI (Claude, RAG, etc)
- Shopify, e-commerce, or fintech experience
