Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Production Quality Inspector in the Greater San Jose area. This person will perform in-process inspection and final verification of flight hardware against drawings, process specifications, and work order requirements across multiple work centers (assembly, integration, wire harnessing, and test), identify, document, and track nonconformances to resolution in accordance with established procedures, and support corrective action efforts, independently conduct inspections and record results clearly, precisely, & completely and contribute to quality management system documentation, assess compliance with company and industry standards, and help lead continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in an aerospace, defense or precision manufacturing environment
Experience inspecting electronic (PCBAs to IPC standards, e.g., IPC J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610) and/or mechanical hardware (dimensional/GD&T inspection using calipers, micrometers, or CMM)
Solid knowledge of nonconforming hardware control, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action processes
Comfortable using measuring and test equipment relevant to the role (e.g., microscopes, calipers, micrometers, testers, scopes)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Associate degree or higher in quality, engineering, or a related field.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality management systems.
Familiarity with wire harness and cable assembly inspection (e.g., IPC-A-620).
Six Sigma Green Belt or lean/continuous-improvement experience,
