Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a PCB Librarian and Component Engineer to sit onsite at an Aerospace client in Santa Clara, CA. This person will create and validate PCB components in Altium Designer, ensuring compliance with standards, manage version control, evaluate components, maintain vendor lists, and collaborate with teams. They will identify alternate parts, monitor lifecycle status, and conduct audits.

(This role can pay $40-44 depending on years of experience).

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in PCB library management and/or component engineering.
Familiarity with ECAD tools (e.g., Altium) and PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter).
Hands-on experience with IPC standards and electronic component specifications.
Understanding of BOM management and electronic manufacturing processes.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

IPC Certified Interconnect Designer (CID or CID+)
Experience in regulatory compliance (RoHS, REACH, UL).
Experience in integration of Altium with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
Knowledge of reliability testing, FMEA, and derating analysis for electronic components
Prior experience working in a high-reliability industry (aerospace, medical, automotive, etc.).
Passion for aviation and eVTOL's
