Job Description

Responsibilities include:

Write hardware specs, develop test plans

Use Cadence/Allegro to capture schematics

Bring up hardware with ASIC teams

Debug issues the lab using analyzers, scopes, and other lab debug tools

Required Skills & Experience

Skill required:

Bachelors in electrical or Computer Engineering

4+ years experience in system level development preferably in the server/computer/network industry

Job does require design and lab work

Experience with lab bring up and design validation

Experience in Ethernet, high speed SerDes (>10G) interfaces, high speed design and signal integrity

Experience in X86 architecture, and a very good understanding of control interfaces such as PCIe, MDIO, SPI, I2C

Experience with power delivery and distribution techniques

Experience with CPLDs and FPGAs

Hands on board design knowledge, familiar with design tools including Cadence Concept and Allegro

Knowledge of scripting languages like python, perl is a plus

Experience collaborating with other disciplines, including Diagnostics software, mechanical, signal integrity, thermal, manufacturing

Determined and ability to map high level requirements into actionable milestones

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Prior experience with shipping products
