Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Environment and Safety Engineer to sit hybrid at an Aviation client in Santa Clara, CA. This person will identify and evaluate workplace hazards and environmental issues, ensure compliance of the facilities, create audits and reports, and work with OSHA.
(This role can pay $35-40 depending on years of experience)

Required Skills & Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
-5+ years of experience in laboratory safety, facilities engineering, or EHS within a technical or research environment.
-Knowledge of applicable standards and codes (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, ISO, ASHRAE, EPA).
-Knowledge of lab and building infrastructure systems (ventilation, compressed gas systems, electrical panels, etc.).
-Experience working with fire alarm control panels, suppression systems, smoke control systems, and emergency power systems.
-Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.
-Comfortable working hands-on in a dynamic, cross-functional lab environment.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Strong risk assessment and hazard analysis skills.
-Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in industrial or high-risk environments. Proficient in safety management systems and tools for hazard identification and mitigation.
-Ability to communicate complex safety information effectively to both technical and non-technical personnel
-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to lead safety initiatives and influence cross-functional teams.
-Experience with powertrain equipment testing and validation processes, including test cells and performance testing.
-Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles in relation to safety.
-Knowledge of environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations related to manufacturing processes, including chemical handling and hazardous materials.
-Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent is highly desirable.
