Job Description
As a Data Analyst at this Fortune 500 company, you will support data-driven decision-making for a specific FinTech product. This role focuses on analyzing product performance, responding to ad hoc analytical requests, and partnering closely with business stakeholders to understand trends and identify opportunities. You will leverage dashboards, data exploration, and analytical tools to explain changes in key metrics and provide insights that inform product and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and analyze key product metrics for an assigned PayPal product or business area.
• Investigate changes in performance metrics (e.g., drops or spikes in usage, transactions, or revenue) by exploring dashboards and underlying datasets.
• Respond to ad hoc data requests from product managers, operations teams, and business stakeholders.
• Use dashboards and analytical tools to identify trends, anomalies, and business insights.
• Communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders and recommend actionable next steps.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and alignment on key business metrics.
• Support ongoing reporting and analytics initiatives that improve visibility into product performance.

Required Skills & Experience
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data.
• Experience using Python for data analysis and exploration.
• Experience working with business intelligence tools such as Looker or Tableau.
• Ability to analyze data trends and translate findings into clear business insights.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience supporting product analytics in fintech or digital payments.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data insights to product and business outcomes.
• Experience working with product teams to monitor performance metrics and drive data-informed decisions.
